![]() The Trotters’ later sound was to influence many to produce similar styles, and help to fuel the Bassline scene, that after a few years has now enjoyed great chart success in the UK.Ģ. Later on in the mid 1990s, Neil began to produce under such names as "Trotters Independent Traders" and "Summer Junkies" resulting from his love of wanting to experiment with the different styles of house music. These 12"'s are some of the most highly sought after hardcore EPs today. Another alias he went under at the time was Liquid Crystal, in which in 1993, he released "The Chromatic EP" and "The Chromatic EP II". His first releases were on Chill Records in 1991, during the ever growing rave scene at the time, before releasing such classics as "I Need Your Lovin" and "He Never Lost His Hardcore". The first alias of Neil Rumney, working within the sounds of early breakbeat hardcore, techno and acid. was the name of two different music groups:ġ. The piano is also playing an important part in this song, especially around 1:22.N.R.G. If it were any warmer outside, I would surely walk on the hot asphalt with this song blasting in my headphones. The cool beat in this song makes it number one in my small list. If you’ve read my previous music list you might know that I really appreciate well made beats. The clever use of trumpet in both of these games is admirable. The first 10 seconds are by far the best part of the song. What better song to signal that you’ve just won a battle. Can’t wait to see when/if the anime uses this battle song. The guitar solo at 1.00 sounds like the guitarist is playing strings that are coated with cheddar. The first few seconds of this song bring to mind the excellent soundtrack of EA’s NHL 99. A big boss fight needs a big tune and this song delivers. Granted, the guitar is a bit cheesy in this battle theme but you can’t deny the fact the this song has some very nice drum patterns. Too bad copyright claims killed the old link, well the anime OP changed from the first episode anyway so I guess it’s all good. If you want to find a clean version without background noises try the internet. The link is for the anime opening because I wanted to expose you to the awesomeness of the series. Mostly because the lyrics are a lot cleaner. I like this one a bit better than the burn my dread of Persona 3. ![]() The opening song both for the game and the anime that followed it. This is one of the few songs in the game that has an acoustic guitar in it. I wonder if Mr Meguro heard FF from the Swedish band Kent before composing this.Ī Japanese lady singing beautifully at a fast pace. Best parts are the trumpet at 0:44 and the french lyrics that follow it. More games should use a musical cue when the season in the game changes. This isn’t the only theme that evolves during the game. I like the fact that the music in Tartarus changes slowly as you get closer to the end of the game. Might be because of the combination of a strong beat and strings on the background. One thing I like in Persona 3 over the 4 th one is the sound of the drums.įor some reason this makes me think of the song Flashing Lights by Kanye West. The base sounds like it’s muffled with the same kind of ingenuity (sweatshirt) you find in high school music classes. I like how unedited the drums sounds in this one. Fortunately the Persona series is full of nice battle music, this song being one of them. Nothing ruins a game like lame battle music. Also, the music has to sound epic enough to make the battles seem important. It has to be something that you can hear over and over again without getting tired of it. The battle music is one of the most important things in a Jrpg. Plus the dude shoots himself in the head and lives, how cool is that? The rattly snare dominates the rest of the instruments in the chorus. I love the small stop that occurs at 0:57 before the chorus. The “ticking clock” part of the lyrics sounds hilariously close to English word for the act of reproduction. I’ve only heard two Persona game openings and both of them rock. Persona 3 had better chicks in my opinion.
